Your access to FPMG physicians is in jeopardy!

United Healthcare has terminated our contract effective August 15, 2010.  The termination occurred because Florida Physicians Medical Group practices are part of the Florida Hospital system.  We are still working diligently to negotiate a new contract with United.  However, despite our best efforts, we may not be able to reach an agreement prior to the current contract ending August 15.

 This termination affects not only FPMG practices but also the hundreds of Florida Hospital employed physicians, all 18 Florida  Hospitals, 18 Centra Care Urgent Care Clinics and all Florida Hospital ancillary services.

 We have appreciated the opportunity to serve you and want to continue to take care of your healthcare needs.  If, however, United does not rescind the termination, we may be unable to do so unless you have out-of-network benefits.

 We encourage you to contact United Healthcare’s customer service as soon as possible at the number located on the back of your United ID card to discuss your healthcare options and express any concerns you may have with the action they have taken.
